Wall of House Collapses Killing House Owner & Labourer in Sambalpur

Sambalpur: Two persons including a woman died when the wall of a house collapsed on them at Bijadihi village under Kuchinda police station limits in Odisha’s Sambalpur district on Friday morning.

The deceased were Namita Patel, the owner of the house, and Lalit Dehury, a labourer from Kindira village employed by Namita.

Namita had engaged Lalit to demolish a weak wall of her dilapidated house. At around 7.30 am the said wall collapsed on Namita and the labourer, while they were standing near it.

Family members and locals pulled out the duo from the debris and rushed them to the Kuchinda Sub-Divisional Hospital where the doctors declared them brought dead.
