With a throw of 88.17 meters, India’s ‘Golden Boy’ Neeraj Chopra clinched gold in the Men’s Javelin Throw final in the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, while Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem claimed the silver medal with a distance of 87.82 meters.
After the final, the two athletes shared a light moment on the field that won the hearts of fans all over social media.
After the conclusion of the men’s javelin throw final in Budapest, Neeraj invited Nadeem for a customary photograph on the field while he held the Indian Tricolor in hand. But Nadeem did not have the Pakistani flag with him.
Yet Nadeem did not hesitate to rush towards Neeraj and both of them posed with the Indian national flag. Jakub Vadlejch of the Czech Republic, who bagged the bronze medal, also stood by holding his national flag in hand.
