“Wear Helmet, Or Salary Will be Withheld”, Road safety Diktat for Teachers of Mohana Block in Gajapati Dist

Paralakhemundi: All the elementary school teachers of the Mohana block in Gajapati district have been directed to wear helmets while riding their bikes, otherwise their salaries will be withheld.

The Block Education Officer (BEO) of Mohana block, Narendra Behera has come up with this notification for teachers of the region. A letter has been sent in this regard on Thursday to all schools in the block.

The BEO took up this decision a few days after the death of a school teacher in a road accident in the region. The deceased was not wearing a helmet while riding his bike.

In the letter issued on June 27, it has been mentioned that anyone seen without a helmet while riding the bike by the BEO or ABEO will be punished and salary will be withheld for one month.
