Wild Elephant Tramples Youth to Death In Sundargarh

Sundargarh: A youth died in a wild elephant attack at Kulukuta village under the Bannai Range in Odisha’s Sundergarh district on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Gobind Munda of Kulukuta village.

According to reports, Gobind along with some staff of the forest department and other villagers was involved in shooing away a herd of wild elephants that had strayed into the village. Suddenly, one elephant attacked Gobind and grabbed him with its trunk. He was slammed him to the ground and trampled by the pachyderm. He died on the spot.

Forest officials rushed Gobind to a nearby health center, where the doctors pronounced him brought dead.
