Youth Arrested for Derogatory Remarks Against Constitution on Social Media

New Delhi: Derogatory remarks against the Indian Constitution by a 21-year-old youth on social media landed him in jail in Noida.

The arrested accused posted these derogatory remarks on the Constitution on his Instagram account on Sunday, the day the whole country celebrated Constitution Day.

The accused was identified as Bhanu alias Jyass, an unemployed youth of Bisahada village. He was arrested on Sunday, on the basis of a written complaint lodged against him at the Jarcha police station.

The accused was booked under IPC section 354 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and under Section 67 of the Information Technology Act.
