Couple Found Hanging in Hotel on Puri Beach, Man Dies

Puri: A young couple was found hanging from the ceiling fans in their hotel room at the sea beach in Odisha’s Puri on Monday. While the man was declared dead, the woman was admitted to Puri District Headquarters Hospital in serious condition.

According to police sources, the staff of this hotel Goudbad Sahi found them hanging from ceiling fans in their room on Monday morning. Although the identity of the couple is yet to be ascertained, it is hinted that they were from Bengalis.

Police have seized a suicide note written in Bengali from the hotel room. Personnel of the Sea Beach police station have started an investigation to identify the deceased and ascertain the reason behind their drastic decision.
