Mark Zuckerberg Surpasses Bill Gates to Become 4th Richest Man

The CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg became the fourth richest man in the world surpassing Bill gates. His fortunes soared following a surge in Meta’s share price.

So far in 2024, the net worth of Zuckerberg has increased climbed by $42.4 billion. This reached him in the fourth place on Bloomberg’s Billionaire Index. He overtook Microsoft Co-founder Bill Gates, who dropped to the fifth position. Zuckerberg’s present net worth is $170 billion. He has a stake of about 13 per cent in Meta Platforms, formerly Facebook. Zuckerberg is the Co-founder and Chief Executive of Meta Platforms, the company behind Facebook.

Facebook is the world’s largest social network. Meta Platforms has about 3.7 billion active users each month, including about 3 billion on Facebook, according to a January 2023 company presentation.
