Odisha Pavilion Wins Award of Excellence at ITTF-2023

New Delhi: Odisha Pavilion won the Award of Excellence in Display at the India International Trade Fair (IITF-2023) in New Delhi which concluded on Monday at Pragati Maidan.

According to an official release, Odisha Pavilion won the gold medal as “Excellence in Display”, in the category of State Pavilion.

Applauding the achievement, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik posted on X, “Showcasing the spirit of ‘Unity through Trade’, the Odisha Pavilion highlighted the State’s commitment to women empowerment & their participation in economic prosperity and exhibited a wide range of tribal art, artefacts & products”.

Odisha Pavilion showcased the state’s ancient maritime heritage. It had 24 stalls, including outlets that promoted the rich cultural heritage, handicrafts and handlooms of Odisha. Representation of tribal products, especially the work of women artisans through the Mission Shakti initiative was the thrust area of the Odisha Pavilion. . On the other hand, the maritime boat at the centre of the arena perfectly complemented all 24 stalls.

Twenty-eight states and 8 union territories took part in the ITTF-2023, along with corporations from India and overseas. Various countries like like Afghanistan, Vietnam, Tunisia, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Iran, Bangladesh, Oman, Egypt, Nepal, Thailand, and UAE also displayed their products and services.
