3 Female Teachers Booked for Cheating Colleague into Withdrawing Loan of Rs 15 lakhs

Mumbai: Three female teachers were booked by the police in Thane of Maharashtra for allegedly cheating a colleague.

A case was lodged against the three teachers at the Bhiwandi Town police station. According to the police investigation, one of the accused convinced the victim to take a loan of Rs 10 lakh from a nationalised bank and give it to her in July 2020.

The accused repaid Rs 3 lakh and then took away the victim’s Aadhaar and PAN cards on the pretext of repaying the rest through online transactions. The accused and used the PAN card and Aadhaar of the victim to take another loan of Rs 15 lakh from a cooperative bank in the victim’s name. The other two accused in the case acted as witnesses for the said fraudulent loan.

The three female teachers were charged under Indian Penal Code sections for cheating, forgery, and other offences. They have not been arrested as investigation is still continuing.
