9 Women Murdered in 6 Months, Search for Serial Killer in UP’s Bareilly

Bareilly: Following the murder of nine women in Bareilly city since June this year, the Uttar Pradesh Police is now searching for a serial killer. Bareilly police have advised aged women to refrain from going out alone and always remain in groups while outside their homes.

Most of the victims were women aged 50 to 65 years. Shahi, Fatehganj West and Sheeshgarh areas of Bareilly reported most of the murders.

According to police sources, all victims were strangled to death, and their bodies were found in the fields. There was no evidence of loot or sexual assault.

A special police team has been formed to track down the serial killer and patrolling has been enhanced all around Bareilly.
