Aged Woman Stabbed to Death While Intervening to Stop Violent Clash in UP

Lucknow: An elderly woman was stabbed to death while she was trying to stop a violent clash between two groups in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh.

Two other persons were injured in this group clash in the Uttar Patti locality in Rasda police station area on Monday, they said.

The clash broke out between groups led by Dhanji Rajbhar alias Golu and Abhishek Rajbhar. Three people, including Ramvati Devi (60), were injured in the clash.

The injured were admitted to a hospital, where Ramvati Devi died. She was stabbed by someone while she was trying to pacify the warring groups.

Two FIRs have been registered in the matter based on complaints filed by the two rival groups. An investigation is underway.
