Ex-Model Divya Pahuja Murder: BMW Allegedly Used to Transport Body Found in Punjab

The blue BMW car allegedly used to transport the body of ex-model Divya Pahuja after her murder in a Gurugram hotel has been located in Punjab’s Patiala. Police are yet to confirm if Divya’s body is inside the car’s boot.

Earlier, police suspected Divya’s body was dumped in a Punjab river. However, the recovery of the car, found at a bus station in Patiala, has shifted the focus of the investigation.

Balraj and Ravi Bangar, suspected of transporting Divya’s body to Punjab, remain at large. Police are actively searching for the duo.

Two phones, one belonging to Divya and the other to the main murder suspect, Abhijeet Singh, have been recovered. However, Divya’s sister claims that there is another phone, which the police are now searching for.

The alleged murder took place at Gurugram’s City Point Hotel on January 2, with Abhijeet Singh identified as the owner. Abhijeet, along with two others, Prakash and Indraj, has already been arrested in connection with Divya’s death. Both Prakash and Indraj were employees at Abhijeet’s hotel.

CCTV footage captured the suspects, including Abhijeet, fleeing the hotel in a blue BMW, with Divya’s body in the car’s boot.

The Gurugram Police received a call on January 2 reporting a body in Abhijeet’s room at the City Point Hotel. After initial checks, the police returned and discovered through CCTV footage that the accused had moved Divya’s body to room 111 while they were searching room 114.

Further investigation revealed that Abhijeet Singh claimed to have been introduced to Divya by Binder Gujjar, currently in custody for his involvement in an alleged “fake” encounter in 2019. Abhijeet stated that Divya had taken compromising photos of him, leading to a confrontation where he allegedly shot her.
