Koraput: Murder Accused Flees Police Custody Within An Hour Of Arrest

Koraput: A murder accused escaped from police custody in Odisha’s Koraput district on Saturday evening. The accused, Rahul Bagh of Hinaguda, was arrested by the Koraput Town police based on a complaint from the family of the victim, Bikun.

Last year, Bikun of Koraput town left his home with some individuals and did not return. Concerned for his well-being, his family searched for him extensively but couldn’t locate him. Subsequently, they filed a complaint with the Koraput Town police, alleging that Rahul Bagh of Hinaguda in the town had kidnapped Bikun.

Tragically, Bikun’s body was discovered in a forest area near Bilaghati on Jeypore-Koraput National Highway 26. Rahul had been on the run since Bikun’s disappearance.

However, he was recently spotted in the town by Bikun’s family, who caught him and handed him over to the police. Shockingly, within an hour of his arrest, Rahul managed to escape from the Koraput Town police station. Authorities are now actively pursuing a manhunt to locate and apprehend Rahul.
