Dalit Man Stabbed to Death in UP for Refusing to Bring Liquor for Assailant

Lucknow: A Dalit man was stabbed in Uttar Pradesh’s Banda for denying bringing liquor for his attacker. The attacker identified as Raju has been arrested.

This casteist incident took place in Jaurahi village. The victim Premchandra, a Dalit man, was sitting outside his house on Sunday, when Raju from the village ordered him to fetch liquor for him.

When Premchandra refused to give liquor to Raju, he started stabbing the Dalit man in his stomach and neck.

Injured Premchandra was admitted to a hospital where he died during treatment.

According to sources, the attacker had criminal cases pending against him.
