Female Teacher Killed In Front Of Father in Pakistan For Refusing Marriage Proposal

A 40-year-old female school teacher was allegedly shot dead in front of her father when she refused a marriage proposal, reported Pakistan media.

The accused fired at the teacher and escaped in the Jangdara Totalai area of Buner in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.

According to the complaint lodged by the victim’s father, the suspect had earlier attacked his daughter. No action was taken although he reported the incident to the police.

In a similar incident in the Mardan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on June 8, a female school teacher, who was killed in the name of ‘honour’ as she wanted to marry as per her wish. The 22-year-old woman was killed after being dragged out of a car. She was killed nine months after she had a court marriage.

On June 4, two sisters, who preferred to mary as per their own choice were also murdered in the name of ‘honour’. The two sisters had married boys they loved against the wishes of their family. They were brought back as per an order of the local “Panchayat.” Later they were killed by their father, brother, and uncle.
