Head Constable Suspended for Beating 2 Tied Up Youths in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: A head constable was suspended in Madhya Pradesh’s Betul district for allegedly beating up two youth tied with ropes in connection with a theft case.

The video clip of this incident appeared on social media on Sunday. The incident occurred in Desli village under Mohda police station limits a week back.

The video clip showed two youths tied with ropes and being beaten up by a policeman with a plastic pipe in front of some shops.

The cop on the video was identified as head constable Kamta Prasad Keer, posted at the Damjipura police post. He allegedly thrashed the two youngsters in connection with a mobile phone theft case.

Taking cognizance of the video, the Betul superintendent of police has suspended Keer.
