Live Pangolin Rescued in Nabarangpur Dist, One Arrested

Nabarangapur: A live pangolin weighing around 8.970 kg was rescued by a special team of Nabarangapur Forest Division on Tuesday. One person was arrested in connection with this wild animal smuggling.

The team of forest officials rescued the pangolin from the possession of the accused Kamal Singh Gouda from the Junapani village under the Kosagumuda block.

The accused was nabbed through a trap set by the forest department team following intelligence report that the accused was trying to smuggle the live pangolin out of the state. Further investigation is underway.
