Man Sentenced Life Imprisonment For Double Murder In Jagatsinghpur Dist

Jagatsinghpur: The Additional District and Sessions judge in Kujanga of Jagatsinghpur district awarded life imprisonment to a convict in connection with a double murder case.

The convict Jyotiprakash Nathsarma alias Kalia had committed the murders June 2023. He had killed two women. He hacked a woman to death while she was plucking flowers on the roadside in Kujung Expressway Colony. Later, he also attacked another woman who was opening the gate of her house and killed her.

Kujang police had arrested him following the incident. The trial court passed the judgement one year after the crime. The court pronounced the judgment based on statements of witnesses and scientific evidence.
