Police Constable Killed after Throat Slit by Kite String in Maharashtra

Mumbai: A Maharashtra police constable Sameer Suresh Yadav died after his throat got slit by a kite string on Sunday at Vakola Bridge on the Western Express Highway.

According to the Mumbai police, Sameer Suresh Jadhav met with the accident while he was returning home on his bike after duty.

The kite string got entangled around his neck, slitting his throat like a sharp weapon. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

Jadhav posted at Dindoshi police station in Goregaon and was returning to his home in Worli on his bike.

A case has been registered in this regard at Kherwadi police station and further investigation is on.
