Spanish Tourist Gang Rape, Jharkhand Police Hands Over Rs 10 Lakh Compensation

Ranchi: Jharkhand Police provided a compensation of Rs 10 lakhs to the husband of a Spanish woman who was allegedly gang-raped in Dumka of Jharkhand on March 1 night.

The Spanish woman was gang-raped in the Hansdiha police station area.

Jharkhand police provided all the help to the rape survivor and husband her husband. Under the victim compensation scheme, the Spanish couple was given Rs 10 lakh.

The Spanish woman and her husband were on a bike tour across India. She was gang raped when they were camping inside a tent in a deserted area near the Kurmahat village.

According to the police, seven people are involved in the gang rape case and three have been arrested.
