Triple Murder in Kalahandi District

Kalahandi: Three bodies, including that of a woman and a child, were recovered from the roadside near Sankarpala village under Junagarh police limits in Odisha’s Kalahandi district on Sunday.

The cut injuries on their bodies hinted that they were murdered.

The deceased include a woman, a 2-year-old boy, and an elderly man. They were identified as Raimati Majhi of Shankarpala village, her minor son Shivashakti Majhi, and Mahendra Kumar of the same village.

The reason behind the murders and the identity of the accused are yet to be ascertained.

Police have seized the bodies and initiated an investigation.
