Kalahandi LS Seat’s Independent Candidate Naresh Hianla Attacked by Miscreants

Bhawanipatna: A group of miscreants attacked Naresh Hianla, the independent candidate contesting from the Kalahandi Lok Sabha seat.

According to reports, a group of three miscreants attacked him near Karlapada while he along with two associates was on his way to campaign. Their car was stopped by the miscreants. When he and his associates got down from the car, they were attacked by the miscreants with lathis. After the assault, the miscreants escaped from the spot.

Injured Hianla was rushed to Bhawanipatna Hospital for treatment.

According to police sources, the reason behind the assault is yet to be ascertained. But political rivalry is suspected to be the reason.

Personnel of the Karlapada police station have started an investigation to nab the culprits behind the attack.
