Two Punjab Sisters Beat Auto Driver to Death

Ludhiana: In a fit of rage, two sisters, aged 24 and 22 years, thrashed a 40-year-old autorickshaw driver, Sukhwinder Singh, to death with a baseball bat and a pestle in the Daba area of Ludhiana on Thursday night.

According to police sources, the two women identified as Deepjot Kaur and Mani as well as their parents have absconded.

They escaped when Sukhwinder fell unconscious after getting ruthlessly beaten by the two sisters. Locals rushed the injured man to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Initial investigation has revealed that on Thursday night, Sukhwinder had an argument with the father of the women, Balbir Singh. Things took a violent turn when the two sisters intervened and assaulted the victim with a baseball bat and a pestle.

Following the incident, the women along with their parents Balbir Singh and Charanjit Kaur escaped in a hurry leaving their house unlocked.
