UP Man Gives Talaq to Wife for Shaping Her Eyebrows

Lucknow: A Muslim man pronounced triple talaq to his wife over the phone from Saudi Arabia only because she had shaped her eyebrows.

The distressed woman Gulsaiba living in Kanpur has lodged a police complaint against her husband regarding this triple talaq over the phone for trivial matters like shaping eyebrows.

Gulsaiba married Salim in January 2022, who is employed in Saudi Arabia. She has also alleged that her in-laws were harassing for dowry after her husband left for Saudi Arabia on August 30.

According to Gulsaiba, her husband saw her shaped-up eyebrows during a video call on October 4. For no reason old fashioned Salim became angry and uttered triple talaq to her over the phone.

Gulsaiba has lodged a complaint with the police against her husband, along with five other individuals, including her mother-in-law.
