Odisha Approves 12 Transformative Projects, Boosting Industrial Growth

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has approved 12 transformative projects worth INR 2,794.47 Crores, expected to generate employment for approximately 4,715 individuals. The projects span across seven districts and diverse sectors, including semiconductor and ESDM, gemstone, aluminium downstream, steel, food, beverage, allied, and tourism.

Key Projects:

  • Semiconductor and ESDM Sector: RIR Power Electronics Ltd will invest INR 510.80 Crores in a manufacturing facility for silicon carbide devices and SIC modules in Khordha, InfoValley.
  • Gemstone Sector: Nuvo Aeon Diamond and Jewellery Manufacturing LLP will invest INR 256.50 Crores in a lab-grown diamond and jewellery manufacturing facility in Khordha.
  • Aluminium Downstream Sector: Hindalco Industries Ltd will invest INR 834.00 Crores in an Aluminum Battery Foil manufacturing facility in Sambalpur.
  • Steel Sector: Several companies have invested around INR 900 Crores in regions such as Jajpur and Sundargarh.
  • Food, Beverage, and Allied Sector: M/s Maa Tarini Roller Flour Mills LLP is investing INR 58.30 Crores in a fully automated flour mill in Khordha, while Milk Mantra Dairy Pvt Ltd is investing INR 51.10 Crores in establishing a dairy product manufacturing unit in Puri.
  • Tourism Sector: Mayfair Hotels and Resorts Ltd is investing INR 73 Crores in Jharsuguda.

These projects are expected to catalyze Odisha’s journey towards becoming a powerhouse of industrial prowess, economic prosperity, and employment generation.
