Bonda Boy Mangala Muduli Cracks NEET, Ex-CM Naveen Patnaik Hails His Success

Bhubaneswar: Mangala Muduli, a young and talented Bonda boy from the remote village of Badbel in Malkangiri district, is on the brink of transforming the future of his family and community by becoming a doctor. In a story that highlights perseverance and determination, Mangala has successfully cleared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), a significant step towards his dream of pursuing medicine.

Hailing from the Mudulipada panchayat, Mangala’s journey to success was fraught with challenges, including limited access to resources and opportunities. However, his unwavering determination, combined with the guidance of his teacher, Utkal Keshari Das, enabled him to overcome these obstacles.

After completing his schooling at Government Boys’ High School, Mangala passed the Plus II board exams with flying colours from Mathili Baladiaguda SSD High School. Recognising Mangala’s potential early on, his science teacher, Utkal Keshari Das, played a crucial role in shaping his academic journey. Das not only encouraged Mangala to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor but also helped him prepare for medical entrance exams by enrolling him in a coaching institute in Balasore.

“Mangala was an exceptional student with great potential. I provided him with the necessary guidance and support to help him crack the NEET exam. I am now working on getting him admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack,” said Das, who attributes Mangala’s success to his hard work and dedication.

Mangala’s achievement has brought immense pride to his community and has set him as a role model for other tribal students in the region. His success underscores the importance of determination and the impact that dedicated teachers can have on their students’ lives.

Former Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik also lauded Mangala’s achievement. Taking to X, Patnaik wrote, “Strong willpower and hard work are the keys to success. Mangala Muduli from Mudulipada Banda Ghati in Malkangiri District is a shining example of this. His determination has paved the way for him to study medicine. This achievement is a source of inspiration for all. Wishing him a bright future.”

Mangala is set to pursue MBBS at MKCG Medical College and Hospital and his success story continues to inspire many across the district.
