Odisha Govt to Introduce Shaheed Madho Singh Scholarship for Tribal Students

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has come up with a new scholarship named Shaheed Madho Singh Haata Kharcha (pocket money) for the tribal students of the state. This new scholarship scheme will be started from the current year, informed Minister Mukesh Mahaling in the state Assembly on Thursday while replying to a question.

According to the minister, the state cabinet has approved this new Shaheed Madho Singh Haata Kharcha scholarship scheme to prevent drop-out of ST students from school.

Under this new scholarship scheme, the ST students taking admission to classes 9 and 11 will get financial assistance of 5000 rupees annually.
