Aditya Chopra Planning ‘Pathaan 2’ With Shah Rukh Khan’s Return as Super Spy

Mumbai: Aditya Chopra, the man behind YRF’s spy universe, is planning ‘Pathaan 2’ with Shah Rukh Khan all set to don his super spy avatar once again.

Now, the stage is ready for a thrilling sequel. Aditya Chopra has given the green light to ‘Pathaan 2,’ making it the eighth film in the spy universe, reported The Statesman. According to reports, ‘Pathaan 2’ will precede ‘Tiger vs Pathaan,’ setting the stage for an epic clash.

‘Pathaan’ was the seventh movie in YRF’s spy universe. Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra, it became the third highest-grossing Hindi film ever and the most successful film in the YRF spy universe.

Recognizing the popularity of Shah Rukh Khan’s character, Aditya Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan decided to turn ‘Pathaan’ into a standalone franchise within the spy universe.

Chopra is closely involved in the scripting of ‘Pathaan 2,’ along with the writing team over the past year.

According to rumours, the shooting of ‘Pathaan 2’ may commence by December 2024.
