Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh Expecting First Child in Late September: Reports

Bollywood power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are expecting their first child. The actors, who tied the knot in 2018, announced the pregnancy via a heartfelt Instagram post in February, revealing that their baby is due in September 2024.

According to reports, Deepika’s due date is set for September 28, with the delivery expected to take place in a hospital in South Bombay. Contrary to earlier speculation, the couple has opted for Mumbai over London for the birth.

A source close to the couple shared that Deepika and Ranveer are eagerly preparing for parenthood and are busy setting up a nursery. “Deepika is currently enjoying a break from work and embracing every moment of this new journey,” the source added.

Deepika plans to remain on maternity leave until March 2025, after which she is expected to resume work, starting with the sequel of Kalki alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Prabhas.

The couple’s pregnancy announcement came after weeks of speculation, particularly following Deepika’s appearance at the BAFTAs, where she was seen in a saree, seemingly trying to keep her baby bump hidden.

Deepika was last seen in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD and is set to appear in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, slated for a November 2024 release.
