‘Gadar 2’ Boasts of Real Action Scenes, Not Just VFX: Dir Anil Sharma

Mumbai: ‘Gadar 2’ director Anil Sharma has opted for minimal VFX usage for the fight scenes in the Sunny Deol-starrer. In its action scenes, genuine stunts take center stage rather than visual effects.

“During the making of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, we meticulously choreographed real-life action scenes to deliver an authentic experience that was embraced by the audience. With Gadar 2, we were committed to preserving that same level of authenticity. The film boasts of real action scenes and not just VFX,” said film’s director Anil Sharma.

He cited example of Tom Cruise’s stunts in the Mission Impossible series.

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel return in Gadar 2 to portray their iconic characters from the 2001 film Gadar – Ek Prem Katha. Sunny’s character, Tara Singh, reaches Pakistan to rescue his son, who has been taken captive by a vengeful Pakistani army general.

Gadar 2 is slated to release in cinemas on August 11.
