OSSC Question Paper Leak: Balasore Police Arrests 8 More

Balasore: Eight more persons were arrested by Balasore police from different districts of Odisha in connection with the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) JE (Civil) Main written examination question paper leak case.

With the recent arrests, the total number of persons nabbed in this case rose to 25.

On July 27, the Balasore Police arrested eight persons including the mastermind behind the case from Bihar. After that nine accused were rounded up from Digha area in West Bengal.

Following confirmation from the Balasore SP on July 23 regarding the question paper leak, the OSSC cancelled the Main Written Examination for JE (Civil) conducted on July 16, 2023. The examination has been rescheduled to be held on September 3.

It is alleged that the accused leaked the question paper to 88 candidates for huge sums of money.

The OSSC has issued notices to 55 candidates asking why they shall not be barred for a lifetime from the recruitment of OSSC for their link with the question paper leak.
