Mithun to Appear in and as “Kabuliwala”, Poster Released to Mark Children’s Day

Mumbai: To mark Children’s Day, the makers of Mithun Chakraborty’s upcoming movie “Kabuliwala” unveiled its poster on Tuesday.

This Suman Ghosh-directed Bengali movie is slated to release this Christmas.

This movie is based on a timeless short story of the same name written by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore in 1892. In 1957, Tapan Sinha brought it to life on the cinema screen. After 66 years, Suman Ghosh is set to recreate the magic of the immortal story.

In this movie, Mithun plays the role of the iconic character Rahmat, a Kabuliwala whose heartwarming friendship with Mini, portrayed by child artist Anumegha Kahali, is the crux of the narrative.
