OTT Version of “Animal” Will be 30 Minutes Longer

Mumbai: Ranbir Kapoor’s film, ‘Animal’, which has a runtime of 3 hours and 21 minutes will be released in a longer version on the OTT.

According to reports, the OTT version of the movie will be 30 minutes longer than the original runtime in movie theatres. ‘Animal’, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, also has Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in key roles.

Ranbir Kapoor said, “The story of ‘Animal’ requires this amount of time to reach the audience. We saw the first cut which was 3 hours and 49 mins and we were entertained. Don’t be panicked by the length and just come experience cinema at its best.”

Initially, it was planned to release the longer version of ‘Animal’ in theatres with two intervals. But to play safe, a few scenes were cut short to have a final theatrical runtime of 3 hours and 21 minutes.

The OTT version will feature the scenes that have been edited in the theatrical version.

After ‘Kabir Singh’, ‘Animal’ is Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s second Bollywood film. It will have a theatrical release on December 1.
