Watch: Sam Bahadur Teaser With Moustache-Sporting Vicky Kaushal as the Legendary Field Marshal

Mumbai: A teaser of the upcoming biopic Sam Bahadur was released by its makers on Friday. It has moustache-sporting Vicky Kaushal playing the role of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, who played a pivotal role in India’s triumph during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

This biopic of the war veteran helmed by Meghna Gulzar, the biopic will narrate the remarkable life and extraordinary military career of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.

The one-minute-25-second-long teaser begins with Vicky skillfully embodying the persona of Manekshaw as he addresses a group of soldiers on the battlefield. “Respect matters more to a soldier than his life. And a soldier can lay down his life for the honour of his uniform,” he tells them.

A montage of war visuals follows as Vicky’s Maneskshaw is seen advising the then prime minister to attend to politics while he can fight a war.

“There will be no more withdrawals. Sam is here,” Vicky roars towards the end of the teaser, which promises an action-packed drama.

Sanya Malhotra takes on the role of Manekshaw’s wife Silloo Manekshaw, while Fatima Sana Shaikh steps into the shoes of Indira Gandhi.

Sam Bahadur is slated for a theatrical release on December 1, 2023 and it will clash at the box office with Sandeep Vanga Reddy’s Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor.
