An elderly woman Liu living in Shanghai in China has made a will to leave her $2.8 million fortune to her cats and dogs without providing anything to her children, reported the South China Morning Post.
She recently changed her will to teach a lesson to her three children who did not visit her or care for her when she fell sick. According to the woman, only her pets were there for her, so all her wealth must be used to take care of them and their children when she dies.
Added to it, she has designated a local veterinary clinic as the administrator of her inheritance and to take care of her pets. Although Liu planned to give all of her money to her dogs, it is not permitted in China. So, she has entrusted the vet clinic to look after the pets using her money and property.
The elderly woman’s story has created a debate on Chinese social media platforms. While many supported the idea, others were taken aback.
