Nepal Plane Crash: All 72 Onboard Yeti Flight Killed As It Crashes Seconds Before Landing

Kathmandu: An ATR-72 passenger plane carrying 72 people crashed in Pokhara, Nepal on Sunday. The flight was going from Pokhara to Kathmandu. The flight departed from Tribhuvan International Airport today at 10:33 AM. It crashed ten seconds before landing at the airport, leaving everyone dead.
The plane crashed into a forest on the banks of the Seti Gandaki river between the former domestic airport and Pokhra International Airport.

Rescue personnel were attempting to put out the fire that the plane caught as it was coming down. Three of the eleven passengers on board were infants, according to the passenger manifest, and 11 of them were foreign tourists.

“At the time of the accident, there were 53 Nepalis, 5 Indians, 4 Russians, 1 Irish, 2 Korean, 1 Argentinian, and a French national on board,” informed airport authority officials.

The Nepali government has convened an emergency meeting of the cabinet following the passenger plane crash at Pokhara Airport.

A 72-seater passenger plane crashed on the runway at Nepal’s Pokhara International Airport. According to news agency ANI, the Yeti Airlines plane carrying up to 68 passengers and four crew members went down between the old airport and the Pokhara International Airport.
