Revealing Clothes Can Land Fans in Jail During Qatar World Cup 2022

Football fans should ensure that their shoulders and knees are covered. This is the Qatar government’s directive for football fans coming to the country to witness FIFA World Cup 2022. Matches of the World Cup Soccer will start on November 20.

Usually, World Cup venues become party centers for fans who celebrate throughout the night. Female fans wear revealing clothes to add to the glamour. As Qatar is an Islamic nation, the scene may be something different during the recent FIFA World Cup.

Qatar government has already asked football fans to abide by Qatar’s laws and cultural customs, including Qatar’s policies for alcohol, drugs, sexuality, and dress code.

There are restrictions on the outfits of tourists coming to the World Cup event.

As per the website of Qatar’s Tourism Department, football fans from other countries have been advised to avoid wearing too revealing clothes.

Exposure of too much skin can even land a football fan in jail, as it is illegal as per the Qatari laws. Men will face fines and jail if they remove their tops completely. Sleeveless dresses and tops with offensive slogans are also banned.

Men and women have been advised by Qatar’s authorities to ensure that their shoulders and knees are covered. FIFA has also stated that fans should keep the strict laws of Qatar in mind.

High-tech cameras will monitor the fans in stadiums through facial-recognition technology.

Thirty-two teams are participating in the FIFA World Cup 2022. It will continue in Qatar from November 20 to December 18. Ecuador will clash with Qatar in the inaugural match.
