Kremlin: In a video address from the Kremlin on Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin made his first public appearance since the mutiny.

Putin addressed a youth forum on engineering, praising companies for ensuring the stable operation of the country’s industry in the face of severe external challenges.

The forum, dubbed the “Engineers of the Future,” was held in the Kremlin. Putin spoke about the importance of engineering in Russia’s economic development, and he urged young people to pursue careers in the field.

He also touched on the recent mutiny of a mercenary chief, saying that it was a sign of the “severe external challenges” that Russia is facing. However, he said that the country’s industry is “stably operating” thanks to the hard work of its engineers and workers.
