Watch: A Cafe Where Guests Sit & Eat in Water Filled With Fish

Video of a cafe in Thailand where guests sit in ankle-deep water with dozens of koi fish swimming in it to have their food has gone viral on social media.

This cafe named Sweet Fishs Cafe has decorative fish of all shapes and sizes swimming on the water-covered floor. As per reports, due to protests from animal rights activists, this café was closed down a few months after its opening.

As per reports, this unique café was opened up in Khanom in Thailand.

The Facebook page of the now-closed eatery has several photos of the fishtank-like eatery. The cafe owner Yosaphol Jitmung had told a local media outlet that it was an attempt to allow customers to interact with the fish swimming on the floor.

The fish kept at this café were of Koi variety that is kept for decorative purposes in outdoor ponds or water gardens. They are generally not afraid of people and nibble on dead skin.
