Third Umpire Stuck in Lift Delays AUS vs PAK 2nd Test

The post-lunch session of the third day of the Boxing Day Test between Australia and Pakistan faced a bizarre delay because of a situation faced by the third umpire, Richard Illingworth. The third umpire failed to report in his cabin in time as he was stuck in a lift.

The players and on-field umpires had to delay the post-lunch session of the match as Illingworth had not taken his seat in the third umpire’s room.

Illingworth, an English umpire, eventually managed to return to his seat a few minutes later. Cricket Australia posted a video of a seemingly confused Illingworth arriving in the third umpire’s room.
