34-Yr-Old Man Sets Himself on Fire in Pune In Front of Police Outpost in Pune

Pune: A 34-year-old man identified as Rohidas Jadhav was seriously injured when he set himself on fire outside a police outpost in Pune city of Maharashtra on Tuesday demanding immediate police action on a complaint lodged by him.

The incident took place at the police outpost in the Wagholi area of Pune city.

Police personnel rescued the man and admitted him to a hospital in a critical condition.

According to reports, Jadhav wanted police action regarding a police complaint lodged by him against another person over a parking dispute in his housing society. A counter-complaint was also lodged in this case.

On Tuesday, Jadhav reached the police outpost demanding immediate action on his complaint. He was not satisfied with the assurance provided by the police personnel non-cognisable (NC) offence case that does not have any provision of arrest.

Dissatisfied Jadav, went out of the police outpost and set himself on fire after dousing himself with some inflammable liquid.
