4 Students Drown While Swimming After Exam in Karnataka

Bengaluru: Bodies of four students were recovered by the police from a river near Uliangadi, under the jurisdiction of Suratkal police station in Dakshina Kannada district near Mangaluru in Karnataka.

The deceased were students who had gone missing after their SSLC preparatory examinations. All of them were studying in a private school in Suratkal.

According to police sources, it is suspected that the students drowned while going for a swim after the end of their examination.

The parents of the students filed a missing complaint with the police when they did not return home after the examination. It is suspected that one student might have drowned while swimming, and the others died trying to rescue him.
