5 Students Booked by Police for Ragging Juniors at IIIT-Basara

Hyderabad: Five students of IIIT-Basara (Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies) were rounded up by police on charges of ragging the juniors at their college. According to police sources, this ragging incident occurred on the IIIT-Basara campus on Thursday.

The investigation is on and police have not yet arrested anyone in relation to this alleged ragging incident. The five students under police investigation include three minors.

The incident reportedly took place in a hostel of the institute. Some senior students allegedly called three students of the first year and slapped them.
