Agra: Two members of a Brahma Kumari centre in Agra tragically ended their lives on Friday, as reported by the police. Suicide notes recovered from the scene implicated four employees of the Ashram, according to authorities.

The incident stemmed from a dispute between the two sisters and their maternal relatives, who allegedly absconded from the Brahma Kumari organization with ₹25 lakh and relocated to a different shelter in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.

The district police received information at midnight, prompting a swift response to the suspected suicide. The bodies were transferred to a mortuary, accompanied by the recovery of suicide notes and mobile phones. ACP Kheragarh, Mahesh Kumar, confirmed an ongoing investigation into the matter.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, as the authorities work towards unravelling the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident.
