Beware! Zika Virus Enters Karnataka: First Victim; A 5-Year-Old Girl

Bengaluru: The first confirmed Zika virus case in Karnataka has been identified as a five-year-old girl from the Raichur district, according to Karnataka Health Minister K Sudhakar.

The Minister stated that there is no cause for concern as there have not yet been any additional instances of the Zika virus discovered in the state and that the administration is actively monitoring the situation.

While addressing the media, the Minister noted that Kerala, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh have all recently reported cases of the Zika virus.
