Delhi: Man Stabs Woman, Commits Suicide in Love Rejection Tragedy

New Delhi: A man allegedly stabbed a woman before taking his own life due to unrequited love in Delhi’s Begumpur area. The victim, who is employed at an event management company is currently receiving medical treatment after sustaining injuries.

According to the police, the man, identified as Amit, had proposed to the woman, but she had rejected his advances. The distressing event occurred on Friday around 2:30 PM when Amit attacked the woman with a knife. In response, the victim cried out for help, prompting nearby individuals to rush to her aid. She was promptly transported to a hospital in critical condition.

Meanwhile, Amit fled the scene and died by suicide later at his workplace. Local law enforcement has initiated an investigation into the incident to gather more information and ascertain the circumstances surrounding the events.

This incident follows closely after another tragic case known as the Sakshi murder case. In that separate incident, a 16-year-old girl named Sakshi was brutally stabbed over 20 times and bludgeoned to death with a cement slab in Delhi’s Rohini area. The suspect, Sahil, was apprehended by the police the following day in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh.

According to authorities, Sahil’s actions were motivated by anger and resentment towards the victim for ending their relationship. The two had been dating since 2021. During questioning, Sahil provided vital information, leading to the recovery of the weapon used in the crime from the Rithala area.

Both of these distressing incidents underscore the importance of addressing issues related to unrequited love and relationship conflicts in a sensitive manner. Authorities and society as a whole must work towards fostering a supportive environment that promotes open communication and mental well-being to prevent such tragic outcomes in the future.
