Girl ‘Leaks’ Objectionable Videos Of Women Students; Arrested After Protest Erupts In Varsity Campus

Chandigarh: A woman student has been arrested by Chandigarh Police for allegedly leaking objectionable videos of other students of a private university in Punjab.

According to reports, a massive protest broke out at the Chandigarh University campus post-midnight after the videos of around 60 girls taking baths in the hostel were leaked.

As per reports, the woman student was allegedly making videos of her fellow hostel mates and sending them to a man in Himachal Pradesh’s Shimla, who uploaded the MMS clips on the internet. Students were in a state of shock when clips of them having a bath surfaced online.

It is being reported that the accused was recording those videos for a very long time and it was only after some videos were leaked online, that the whole case was known. After the videos went viral on the internet, several girls went into shock.

An FIR has been registered in the case, said DSP Rupinder Kaur, adding that the accused student has been arrested.

Reacting to the incident, Punjab School Education Minister HS Bains appealed to Chandigarh University students to remain calm and assured them that the guilty won’t be spared.
