In Pics: Uttarakhand Witnesses Fresh Spell Of Snow

With winter days yet to set in across most parts of northern India, several parts of Uttarakhand have received fresh snowfall.

Kedarnath region in Rudraprayag district witnessed the season’s first snowfall.

Kedarnath received a fresh spell of snow ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Uttarakhand on Friday.

The prime minister will perform puja at Kedarnath and Badrinath temples as well as lay the foundation stone of connectivity projects worth more than Rs 3,400 crore.

Hoteliers cheered up in the hope of the arrival of winter tourists with the timely onset of snowfall.

Higher reaches of the state have been receiving snowfall intermittently for the past week.
