Indian Army Soldier Assaulted in Kerala, Tied Up, ‘PFI’ Painted on His Back

Kollam: An Indian Army soldier was attacked by unidentified individuals who marked him with green paint, inscribing ‘PFI’ on his back, in Kerala’s Kollam district. The acronym ‘PFI’ stands for the Popular Front of India, a banned Islamist organization currently under the scrutiny of both the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The victim, Shine Kumar, has taken swift action by filing a police complaint following the harrowing ordeal. According to Kumar, the attack occurred late Sunday night in the vicinity of a rubber forest near his residence in Kadakkal. The assailants, comprising a group of six individuals, forcibly restrained him by taping his hands and then proceeded to apply the paint marking.
