Migrant Worker From Arunachal Beaten To Death By Mob In Kerala, 10 Arrested

Ernakulam: A young migrant chef from Arunachal Pradesh was allegedly tied to a pole and beaten to death by a mob in Kerala’s Ernakulam city. The victim, identified as 24-year-old Ashok Das, was reportedly visiting a female friend when the attack occurred.

Police have arrested 10 suspects in connection with the murder, which took place in Muvattupuzha. However, the motive for the brutal killing remains unclear.

Confirming the incident, a senior police official stated, “We can confirm that the victim was beaten to death by a group of people, and we have arrested 10 individuals.” A murder case has been registered in this regard.

The authorities are also probing the possible involvement of more individuals in the heinous murder of the migrant worker.

Das, who worked as a cook at a local restaurant, will have his remains transported back to his family in Arunachal Pradesh today.
